Our client, a Waterford based company at the forefront of technology in the South East, are currently recruiting for an EXPERIENCED APPLICATIONS SUPPORT ENGINEER to join their innovative team.

What will you be doing in your new role?
Providing high quality technical support for our clients (phone, email & site visits)
Maintain Cloud platforms and the Operations centre as well as product installations, migrations and upgrades
Resolve customer issues within strict service level agreements while also compiling detailed customer resolution reports
Escalate and manage the full cycle resolution process of product issues
Work closely with the sales team in the preparation and support of individual customer enhancements
Undertake special customer projects that are deemed necessary to improve or enhance current platform deployment, stability and performance.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
A minimum of 4 years practical work experience in an application support or administration role
At least 1 yr. Azure Deployment & System admin experience or 2 yrs. PASSIVE Admin/Ops duties in Azure
Expertise in provisioning resources using the Resource Manager method preferred over the deprecated Classic method.
Experience may be substituted with Amazon Azure is preferred.
Proficient in technical operating procedures and best practices for maintainability of hosted platforms (Change Management, Maintenance Routines, Downtime Mitigation, and Asset & Cost Auditing)
Solid knowledge of the following is ESSENTIAL:
- Windows Servers OS
- SAN / NAS / Storage Admin
- Email and file storage technologie
Some programming experience is desirable i.e. visual basic, C++
Decisive, self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative.
Good verbal communication skills.
Display a readiness to take personal responsibility for issues that need to be resolved, and act effectively within reasonable scope of own job to resolve them.
Excellent customer interface skills.
Ability to work on your own initiative.
