IT Technical Support Engineer (Limerick).
Our client is a rapidly growing software company in the life science industry sector. Based in their state of the art offices in Castletroy, this is a permanent role offering a good salary plus full benefit package.
In this role you will be working as part of an overall Service Desk & Deskside Support team to ensure that all issues and requests submitted to the centralised IT Service Desk and assigned to your queue are dealt with promptly, appropriately and courteously.
This will include logging and owning support issues and incidents until resolution and acting as primary support liaison between company and its customers, developing workarounds for software issues reported where workarounds do not already exist and collaborating with the Development, QC and QA teams on issue resolution. Your role will also involve setting up test environments as necessary for replication of customer reported issues and provision of documentation on these setups and on occasion attending customer sites to support installations or provide onsite training.
You have great communication skills and you have a strong ability to work as part of a team. You have excellent IT troubleshooting skills and you have the ability to process and prioritise support requests. You are an experienced IT support professional with circa 2 - 5 years experience. You have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.
You have solid IT support experience in the areas of Active Directory, group policies, Exchange, Windows Server (2008, 2012 and 2016) etc.
Any experience if any of the following would be an asset (but is not required):
- Microsoft SharePoint and Team Foundation Server
- Office 365 administration
- Microsoft Certification
