About the Job
Our prestigious and established pharmaceutical client in Westmeath are looking to recruit a Senior Laboratory Analyst to join their busy pharm chemistry team.Our client work within a niche sector and have a reputation of excellence within their field.
You will have a minimum of 4 years' GMP laboratory experience as an analyst in a chemistry laboratory, with a minimum 1 years' experience of working in a supervisory/team lead capacity in order to be considered for this Senior Laboratory Analyst job. Prior experience of working in a GMP environment is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lab Manager in the promotion of continuous improvement and GMP practice.
- Provide supervision and support of Laboratory Technicians.
- Assist the Lab Manager in managing the day to day operation of the lab.
- Allocation of testing to appropriate laboratory staff.
- Supervision of testing through lab to required turnaround-times.
- Conduct lab investigations and chemistry analysis of samples
- Maintenance of the QMS system, liaising with the Lab Manager to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance of lab activities with the quality management system, and maintenance of appropriate records
- Report non-conformances and 'out of spec' results, assisting investigation with Lab Manager.
- Conduct routine calibration / validation of laboratory equipment.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree qualification in scientific discipline
- 5 years' experience working within a GMP analytical lab environment
- 1+ year of leadership responsibility in a lab environment
- Proficiency with HPLC, GC, MS, Dissolution testing, Karl Fischer, UV-vis, FT-IR, TOC.
- Technical writing skills; ability to write quality documents (SOPs, investigation forms, etc.)
