Stelfox is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a forward thinking Digital Blockchain-based Platform provider that allows business to trade more efficiency across borders globally that allows them to open up further business opportunities.
The company are embarking on a journey over the next 18 months to set-up and build a number of new Agile / Squad engineering teams in-house in their Dublin City center office as they look to re-architect their Platform from Node.js over onto Java with a microservices and Cloud native approach.
The overall objective is to have a strong software engineering function of over 30 before end of 2020, with two agile engineering teams being established between now and end of 2019. The will also be the creation of a Production Operations team and DevOps as this will be an end-to-end process owned and developed in Dublin (all architecture, development, QA, deployment and support is will be run from Dublin).
We are looking for a Lead / Principal Software Engineer (Java) for the first Agile team being established during September / October who will work closely with the Senior Management team and also be strong around architecture and development of distributed systems / applications utilising Java, Spring Framework, CI / CD approach, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS etc.
Your role will be a hands-on position, heavily involved in design and development of real-time / transactional based platform and leading / mentoring other Software engineers on your squad as your team undertaking the creations of various features and component for this Blockchain based platform.
Please note - experience with Ledger technology and smart contracts is not required for this role, so give an opportunity to get exposure to work on a real commercial / production-grade blockchain platform that is already being used in industry since late 2018.

- Docker, Kubernetes
- Approach to re-architecting from monolithic applications into micro-servcices
- Understanding Microservices design patterns
- Understanding of OWASP security principles
- Experience working on a real-time transactional based systems (Trading, Telco, eCommerce etc)
