Your new role
This is a key leadership hire for our client as the grow their business. You will have a proven background in leading delivery and managing programmes and projects involving software development and technology adoption. Your leadership and delivery knowledge will be vital in ensuring their projects are delivered to meet time, quality, cost and customer requirements. Our client is seeking a delivery manager that enhance their current processes, tools, resources, and governance to improve their wide range of public and private sector customers across USA, UK and Ireland. Naturally you will be very comfortable in scoping, planning, managing and delivering projects. You will be comfortable with sprint planning and reviews. You will represent the company internally and externally at customer meetings, governance meetings and board meetings. You will work closely with technical team members to deliver projects
What you'll need to succeed
Clear reporting and communication are paramount for success in this role. Our client needs a team player that can demonstrate, flexibility and leadership. You will have at least 5 years' experience in senior programme delivery roles (software projects) with over 10 years across a wider range of programme/project roles. You will have the ability to make decisions and rive things forward coupled with strong analysis skills. You will be comfortable building trust and rapport with customers and most likely this will come from your in-depth knowledge and understand in the software delivery space. Key technical skills required are PRINCE2, AGILE AND SCRUM. You will be extremely proficient in MS Project and Visio and be very comfortable working within software development lifecycles. Ideally you will have experience in delivering projects in the public sector, highly organised and calm under pressure.
